Flautist Elisabet Franch outstands for her talent and subtle musical interpretation. She has been recognized in several international competitions, including 1st prize and Judges’ Distinction Award at the American Protégé International Competition 2016, which lead her to debut at Carnegie Hall of New York, 1st prize by unanimous decision of the Jury at International Flute Competition Domenico Cimarosa (Italy), Gold Medal Global Music Awards 2016 for emerging artist and for her first discographic work Gypsy Airs, Best Classical Album at the Akademia Music Awards of Los Angeles September 2016, 3rd Prize at the Rising Stars International Competition Berlin 2017 and 1st Prize IMKA Music Competition Sarajevo 2017, among others.
On 2013 wins the Rising Star Award given by Sir James Galway, with whom she studies since 2011, attending regularly the Galway Flute Festival (Switzerland) and his masterclasses at Villa Medici Giulini (Italy). Elisabet follows closely the principles and flute school of The Galway Flute Academy and is very grateful to the Galway’s for their support, mentoring and guidance over the last years of her studies and for their support in her professional career. She was flutist of Liceu Opera House Orchestra Academy and Orchestra dell’Accademia del Teatro Alla Scala where she worked with conductors Gustavo Dudamel, Fabio Luisi and Gianandrea Noseda. She was guest player at Orquestra Simfònica del Gran Teatre del Liceu and Barcelona Symphomy Orchestra (OBC).
From 2016 to 2018 she was Associate Principal Flute of the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra in China. In May 2018 Elisabet will start as Principal Flute of Tianjin Symphony Orchestra, with Artistic Director Muhai Tang.
Elisabet Franch is represented by Brussels International Artists Management and combines her duties in orchestra with her solo career.
